    Role / Responsibilities

    We are looking for an exceptional HR leader with strong business partner experience and the ability to provide oversight and support for the talent acquisition function.  The successful candidate will primarily focus on providing HR Business Partner support for our Research department and other groups as assigned, while ensuring our talent acquisition function has the resources, processes, etc. to attract the top candidates available.  This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in the growth and development of an outstanding biotech company. 

     

    Responsibilities include:

    • Actively reinforce Jounce’s culture and values, including role modeling effective behaviors.
    • Strategically partner with business leaders to design and deliver targeted solutions, including planning, visioning, change management and team building.
    • Act as key HR point person in support of the Research organization, as well as other departments within the company as assigned.
    • Provide regular coaching to managers within assigned organizations to enable them to lead their teams effectively and develop their employees.
    • Drive overall performance management of designated business units, including the annual performance management process, career development, rewards and recognition, conflict resolution, and corrective action.
    • Oversee implementation and continuous improvement of cohesive processes, tools, systems, and training necessary to support the talent acquisition function.
    • Ensure the talent acquisition function is well aligned and resourced to provide outstanding candidates with an exceptional candidate experience.
    • Partners with the rest of the HR team to design and develop company-wide HR initiatives and programs that support company strategy and requirements.
    • Mentor, coach and collaborate with other members of the HR team.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of progressive HR generalist experience.
    • Experience supporting scientific or technical functions in a pharmaceutical and/or biotech environment.
    • Knowledge across a broad range of HR disciplines including employment law, employee relations, compensation, benefits, compliance, training, process improvement, and management development.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and sustain process improvements.
    • Experience proactively engaging leaders at all levels with a strong degree of professional maturity, ability to push-back, and success in influencing outcomes.
    • Ability to anticipate, develop, and implement both strategic and tactical HR plans and programs to accomplish the Company’s mission.
    • Experience as a recruiter and/or leading a talent acquisition function is a plus.
    • Certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) is a plus.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Team player with good communication skills and ability to work cross functionally.
    • Expertise in Microsoft Office is required.
