    Role / Responsibilities

    The Translational Sciences group at Jounce Therapeutics is seeking an individual with a background in tumor biology or immunology and experience in establishment of cell-based assays. The candidate will develop and implement 3D assays to assess molecular responses to our therapeutic molecules. You will be part of a team supporting biomarker strategies for Jounce research programs and translational efforts for new target discovery.


    • Use Jounce tumor slice culture system to assess molecular responses to Jounce therapeutics and understand mechanism of action
    • Develop novel ex-vivo 3D culture systems
    • Maintain Jounce’s human tumor biobank inventory and database.
    • Characterize and isolate immune cells from human tumors using flow cytometry and cell sorting methods.
    • Data analysis, thorough documentation of the work, and clear communication of results in group and leadership settings.



    • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Biology or life sciences with 2+years of relevant experience
    • Hands-on expertise with tissue culture; 3D model assay experience is a plus
    • Experience with flow cytometry or cell sorting
    • Experience in molecular biology is a plus.
    • Ability to follow defined procedures and protocols
    • Willingness to learn new research methods
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Great record-keeping, communication and time-management skills
    • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
    • Demonstrated accountability and responsibility for own work
    • Interest in working in a highly collaborative, fast paced and exciting biotech environment.
