    Role / Responsibilities

    Do you love working with technology? Do you hate cancer? So, do we! The IT and Informatics group at Jounce Therapeutics is looking for an Infrastructure and Security Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for assisting the IT Manager with the day to day management of the Jounce IT infrastructure and security systems. Be the lead in keeping out the bad guys by identifying, investigating, interpreting and remediating security vulnerabilities / breaches detected by the security and infrastructure management systems. Working closely with the Information Technology Group on variety infrastructure and security driven initiatives. This is an exciting position in the dynamic field of immuno-oncology which provides opportunity for growth in a fast-paced, public company.

     


    Core Responsibilities:
    • Participate in the planning and design of the security architecture in consultation with the members within the Information Technology Department
    • Manage leading industry security application suites to protect and secure the Jounce infrastructure
    • Help establish and maintain the creation of security documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines and procedures)
    • Evaluate and research new emerging security solutions
    • Maintain and manage Active Directory structure and security
    • Assist in the management of Jounce’s network infrastructure both on-premises and in the cloud to ensure efficient operations and negligible disruptions to business operations
    • Manage future and current vendor relationships in both infrastructure and security spaces for Jounce
    • Evolve and adapt the Jounce AWS cloud infrastructure to take advantage of the always evolving services deployed by Amazon

    Qualifications

    Requirements:
    • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting security components and applying security best practices across an enterprise application/network infrastructure
    • High School with 6+ years of experience in industry setting or BS/BA with 3+ years of experience in industry setting
    • Experience with managing and securing Microsoft Windows and Linux OS’s
    • /r/netsec and /r/sysadmin are your favorite subreddits
    • Experience working with vendors and third-party contractor companies as part of the team
    • Technical skills and experience working with NetAPP data storage, CISCO network devices (switches), PaloAlto (Firewalls), Active Directory, PowerShell, Microsoft O365, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Mimecast, AlertLogic


    Required Skills:
    • Experience with Information Security technologies including intrusion detection, log management, Mobile Device Management (MDM)
    • Experience in managing/using products in areas of Vulnerability Management, Patch Management, IPS
    • Experience managing and optimizing VMWare 5.5 and above
    • AWS infrastructure management and security
    • PowerShell ninja
    • Experience managing and maintaining complex NTFS security models
    • Windows System Administration: Servers 2012/16, Windows 7/10
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving talents


    Desired Skills:
    • Past hands on experience and responsibility with keeping an infrastructure up and running 24/7 as part of a team
    • Proficient in writing documentation
    • AWS Solution Architect certified or similar certification/proof of experience
    • Experience with AWS management / security tools:
    o CloudWatch, CloudTrail, IAM, Certificate Manager
    • Plays a mean game of rock-paper-scissors
